About Us
The idea for the Langley Seniors Community Action Table (LSCAT the official Society name) was put forward by the Healthier Community Partnership in 2010, and the timing was perfect because the United Way wanted to provide funding for what they called “Seniors’ Planning Tables” -- an organization where seniors would get involved in their community to identify seniors’ issue and work on solutions. After three years, the funding was withdrawn, but LSCAT has carried on as a “volunteer organization” and became an official society in 2019.
With its ten-year history of impactful work, we have demonstrated real value in Langley, created a base of dedicated volunteers and built meaningful relationships with our community partners.
